A set of over 50 ornaments, connecting borders, flourishes and decorative motifs originally designed by Frederic Goudy throughout his career. Many of these designs were used by Goudy at his Village Press and offered by his Village Foundry in the 1920s. The styles range from complex title page illustrations to simple linking borders, but all have the unique Goudy style. This set is completely different from the Goudy Ornaments found in the P22 Goudy Aries Set.
The included key chart PDF shows key positions, but some linking characters may require additional fine tuning for easiest layout.
Characters 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 and 0 are arranged to use the keypad on the right side of
most keyboards so that a border box created will follow the keys in the
number keypad. “5” is left blank with the proper spacing so that typing

will give you a symmetrical box with an empty space in the center.
Other sets to make boxed include the series: a,b,c,d,e,f,g,h and [,],{,},I,u,t,r. The characters s,t,u &v can be used to make horizontal bars with flourished ends of varying lengths. The series j,k,l,m & n,o,p,q only have horizontal components, but text boxes can be rotated 90° to make full borders if desired.
