It was started in 2006 and it is currently managed by Ricardo Esteves, a graphic/type designer and Master of Science in Design. Several of his typefaces was exposed on Tipos Latinos Biennial in its 2008 and 2010 editions. The name "Outras Fontes" simply means Other Fonts. The foundry's work is focused both on developing brand new multilingual typefaces and also in designing exclusive custom typefaces and letterings.
